My career at Imagine by Immediate has seen me take full ownership of commercial campaigns, including writing digital articles, print advertorials, online hub pages, video scripts and brand marketing copy.

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the past decade.

Shell V-Power & Scuderia Ferrari

The most recent instalment of this multi-year commercial partnership allowed me to shed light on the Ferrari F1 team and Shell’s deep, decades-long collaboration. This digital advertorial centred on an exclusive interview with drivers Sir Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on what fuels them.

LEGO

Of the many pieces I’ve done with LEGO and Top Gear, this was my favourite. Shot in the depths of lockdown, this video had to be as dynamic as the Lamborghini model it was showcasing, with a pacy, dramatic script to match. Props to Indy Car legend Dario Franchitti for absolutely nailing the delivery.

AUDI

Speaking of motorsport titans delivering my words, this recent video with Audi and Top Gear followed former F1 World Champion Damon Hill as he enjoyed the Approved Used treatment.

Mercedes-Benz World

In an all-timer of a day’s work, I was lucky enough to visit Mercedes-Benz World for an immersive driving experience that ended with me drifting on a skid pan course. Then I wrote about it, and that was almost as fun.

FSCS

This piece needed to inform readers that their money’s protected by the Financial Compensation Services Scheme in a way they could relate to. That’s why I invoked Christopher Columbus and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in this double page spread in BBC History magazine.

eBay

We created an entire hub on the Top Gear website dedicated to thrifty motoring with eBay, packed with articles and explainer videos offering tips and hacks to save on car maintenance. At the centre of the campaign was a three-part series I scripted following a couple restoring their camper van, presented by The Gadget Show’s Ortis Deley. Stella Artois

Stella wanted us to showcase its Unfiltered product as a perfect food pairing beer to Good Food and olive recipes. The result was a hub page featuring recipe pairing suggestions and three self-shot videos from popular farmer and chef Julius Roberts. Anyone fancy a cold one?

Travel Texas

We’ve all heard of Austin and Dallas, so Travel Texas wanted Top Gear to take the road less travelled and show readers undiscovered destinations on the ultimate Frontiers road trip. After dozens of hours of research and writing, I’d built up enough wanderlust to stun a bull.

Radio Times Christmas

For Christmas 2024, Radio Times wanted us to riff on the iconic tag line of “It wouldn’t be Christmas without Radio Times” to promote the legendary festive double issue. So we examined that year’s festive highlights and imagined the unthinkable…

Disney+

While we’re in the Christmas issue, this double page spread from Disney+ took pride of place back that same year. As a massive fan of both Rivals and The Bear, I was only too happy to dive into some great telly and then write about it.

Sky

To promote Sky’s moving and thought-provoking drama The Tattooist of Auschwitz, we created an inside front cover in Radio Times discussing the show and the process behind it. It remains the single most fascinating show I’ve written about.

OVO Energy

Because going electric can be daunting for motorists, we created a comprehensive Top Gear hub complete with articles and video explainers about driving greener with OVO, demystifying concerns around charging and smart tariffs.
